Translation Memory (“TM” for short) is a database that stores source data (such as headings, titles, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, or elements of a list) with its corresponding translation in language pairs or “translation units” for reuse. Ideal for highly repetitive content such as technical manuals, specialized vocabulary, and incremental changes found in a previously translated document, a Translation Memory:
