Rochester, New York – Advanced Language Translation Inc. is pleased to announce implementation of a new business management system that uses a single platform for automating the handling and management of all translation project activities and processes. Since 2001, the company had been using a homegrown system. Over time, however, ongoing maintenance and enhancements distracted from Advanced Language Inc’s core mission — that of technical translation.

During the last two years, company management evaluated a number of tools to replace and expand on their current capabilities. The Corporate Edition of Plunet’s BusinessManager system met their needs and more. Targeted towards Account Teams, Project Managers, Production Staff, and Translators, the system automates the translation process from quoting, ordering, and workflow to invoicing, reporting, and management of remote in-network translation teams.

For example, with the enhanced workflow feature, the company’s clients now benefit from a 30% reduction in quotation and order turnaround times. In addition, it allows Project Managers to custom design workflows and seamlessly assigns production tasks to translation and engineering teams. The Plunet BusinessManager system also helps in the area of business administration. The Marketing Manager enables the company to plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns for mass communications. The Accounts Manager interfaces with their QuickBooks accounting system, allowing for faster turnaround on Accounts Receivable and Payable. Meanwhile, the Data Manager provides a more efficient means of managing and reporting on our translation projects. Finally, the PDF Manager allows users to generate a PDF file for any translation project stored in the system.
There’s even more to come. In March 2011, Advanced Language Translation Inc’s new business management system will expand to include a customer portal that will allow clients to submit quotation requests, approve quotes, submit and download translation projects, as well as check that status of their translation projects.
